I understand that the YMCA assumes no responsibility for injuries or illnesses which I or any member of my family may sustain as a result of my physical condition or resulting from my participation in any athletic activities, sports programs, the use of any equipment, exercise, or any other activities or programs. I expressly acknowledge that I assume the rish for any and all injuries and illnesses, which may result from my or my family’s participation in these activities. I hereby release and discharge the YMCA, its’ agents, servants, and employees from any and all claims for injury, illnesses, death, loss, or damage which I or any member of my family may suffer as a result of my participation in these activities. I give my permission to the YMCA to use, without limitation or obligation, photographs, film footage, or tape recordings, which may include my or my family’s image s or voice s for purposes of promoting or interpreting YMCA programs. Children under 14 can NOT be upstairs waiting for an adult to complete class or workout. Shoes must be worn in all common areas, such as hallways. Proper swimming suits must be worn in the pools. Thong bathing suits and gym shorts are not proper attire. Street shoes are not permitted on the pool decks.

Employment

For single stall bathrooms the YMCA staff will be positioned outside of the bathroom to make sure no one else enters the restroom. At minimum, when multiple children are in the bathroom or locker room, YMCA staff members will be standing in the doorway so they can have at least auditory supervision of the children. This is best done with multiple staff members so individual staff are not subjected to unwarranted allegations.

The registration fee is nonrefundable and non-transferable. A new registration fee will be charged per change. Members and guests are encouraged to take responsibility for their personal comfort and safety by asking any person whose behavior threatens their comfort to refrain from such behavior. Anyone who feels uncomfortable in confronting a person directly should report the behavior to a staff person or the Director on Duty. YMCA staff members are eager to be of assistance. Members and guests should not hesitate to notify a staff member if assistance is needed.
